Estate Planning with Kim Rietbrock - FULL

Description

Belke Financial Group is excited to host an encore session in person at the office with Kim Rietbrock presenting Estate Planning on Tuesday, September 26th, at 6:00pm. She will focus on the key objectives within estate planning, namely: obtaining financial security, avoiding income and estate taxes, transferring assets to spouses or children, avoiding probate, planning for possible incapacity, and protecting assets in case of long-term care needs.

Kim Rietbrock is an attorney and partner at the law offices of Twohig, Rietbrock, Schneider & Halbach, S.C., who focuses her practice on estate planning and real estate. She has a particular interest in estate planning needs for senior citizens. A 1991 graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School, Kim has been working at the Twohig firm since receiving her law degree. She is the past president of the Calumet County Bar Association, has served on Wisconsin State Bar committees and has returned to the University of Wisconsin Law School to participate as a guest instructor in the Lawyering Skills Program.

While in law school, she became involved with Elder Law issues. She spent several weeks one summer working on an Elder Law project at the Center for Public Representation, at the time when the Wisconsin legislature had created the new Health Care Power of Attorney statute. Kim spoke at nursing homes and community centers in the surrounding Madison communities regarding the new law and assisted elderly clients in reviewing and executing Powers of Attorney. This law school project sparked her interest in an area she continues to pursue professionally. She is currently a member of the Wisconsin State Bar Elder Law Section and a member of the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys.
